Environmental Adventures

Environmental education is a learning process that increases knowledge and awareness about the environment and associated challenges.

These experiences help develope skills to address the challenges while fostering attitudes, motivations, and commitments to make informed decisions and take responsible action to protect the future.

This type of learning cannot be achieved in a classroom unit. Building environmental literacy requires an on-going effort that explicitly addresses knowledge and skills in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

If you have a special interest in environmental issues and natural wonders, let Great Adventure Tours create a highly interesting tour which focuses your educational interests while visiting your desired destination.

You may thematically coordinate your tour to include a study of the geology, ecology, biology, zoology or natural history of any preferred destination or you may mix & match for a truly "cross-curricular" adventure. Outdoor education is a terrific opportunity to take teaching out of the classroom and make learning fun for your students.
